Sharon Fong is a Technical Advisor at Queensland Reconstruction Authority with over twenty years' experience in assisting clients with strategic and integrated infrastructure planning, asset management, and portfolio and program delivery through industry best practice governance.

Her current career interest and passion is focused on assisting communities that have been impacted by natural disasters, through appropriate and effective disaster recovery.  This involves identifying resilient and adaptive strategies to deliver program of works in the context of what best meets the communities needs, environmental needs, and value for money financial investment.

Sharon approaches both her career and personal life by always embracing a positive attitude, to achieve the best she can with those she works, lives and plays with.  In 2022, she was humbled to be the recipient of the IPWEA-QNT Excellence Award for Woman in Engineering. Sharon’s motto over the years has always been “don’t be afraid to give it a go, you never know where it might take you”.
