Biography

Mark Steedman BE (Civil) (Hons), RPEQ Principal Manager, RoadTek Structures Management Services Mark Steedman is a registered professional civil engineer in Queensland. He has worked for 21 years with the Faculty of Engineering, Central Queensland University (CQU), initially as a Technical Officer and most recently as a Professional Officer and Lecturer co-ordinating first year engineering programs. During the technical phase of his employment at CQU, Mark specialised in heavy structural testing, data acquisition systems and data analysis for both university-based research and external consulting projects. Mark joined RoadTek in December 2006 after deciding to practise civil engineering in a more 'industrial' environment. During the past nine years, he has been involved with structures project management and engineering, and is currently leading a team responsible for the program management and delivery of an annual state-wide contract providing inspections and servicing for state owned road structures. Mark is passionate about implementing innovative technology and methods to make work safer and better value for money.
