If successful, the author must register for the conference and attend at the time allocated for the presentation. Conference expenses including registration fees, travel and accommodation is to be met by the author.
The author is required to submit a supporting article and PowerPoint presentation 48 hours prior to the conference.
By submitting an abstract for consideration, the author consents to the publication of the abstract and supporting article and PowerPoint presentation in IPWEAQ’s new Knowledge Centre (to be launched February 2017), in the conference handbook (if any) and if selected, in IPWEAQ’s quarterly e-journal, Engineering for Public Works.
Up to 45 CPD hours are available for the preparation of a paper to be presented at a conference.
The author submitting the abstract and subsequent paper is responsible for ensuring all copyright clearances have been obtained.
Submission of a paper is taken as agreement to assign all rights, title and interest including copyright to the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia, Queensland (IPWEAQ) including all rights of reproduction and display. However, the author reserves all propriety rights other than copyright such as patent rights. The author also reserves rights to use all or part of the paper in future works eg for lectures, press releases, reviews, textbooks etc.
