Roseneath is the home of Fulton Hogan’s North Queensland surfacing, production, blending and maintenance operations.
The depot boasts a 165 tonne pr hour Benninghoven batch plant, which was commissioned in September 2015, and has hot bin storage capacity of 280 tonne across 5 storage bins, allowing the production of various mixes, such as Recycled Asphalt Product (RAP), to be made throughout a shift. The asphalt plant is operational 24/7 to cater to clients’ requirements.
The plant is capable of incorporating recycled materials such as RAP, glass and plastics or utilising warm mix asphalt production methods with the aim to decrease carbon generation.
Our Townsville operation also houses the Fulton Hogan North Queensland PMB and Emulsion blending facility. We are the only asphalt company who manufactures their own emulsions and PMBs, giving us complete control over the quality of our products.
The Polymer Modified Bitumen (PMB) and Crumb Rubber plant is operational 24/7 and is a high sheer mixing facility with the capability of producing 100 tonnes per day of a variety of products. This capacity is achieved through a 24-tonne mixing tank, and has the ability to store the entire 100 tonne of blended product, with the possibility of an additional 60 tonne storage in the asphalt plant.
The Emulsion plant is also operational 24/7 with the ability to produce a variety of products, predominately CRS60. This plant has the capacity to store 200,000 litres of cationic emulsion and 50,000 litres of anionic emulsion. The Roseneath emulsion plant has the capability of producing in excess of 40,000 litres per day, with a typical batch size of 20,000 litres.
