Awareness to Action: Amplifying Your Impact

Here’s an eye-opening statistic: while women make up nearly 50% of the workforce, only about 28% of the engineering workforce is female. This figure underscores not only the challenges women in engineering face but also the incredible opportunity women have to influence and shape their industry.

Join Lowanna Dunn for "Awareness to Action" and amplify your impact as she helps you explore the patterns and mindsets that may be holding you back. Discover actionable steps to not just create awareness of your potential but to truly make an impact. When we embrace our confidence and individuality, we can create meaningful change for ourselves and for other women.

The goal of the breakfast session is to empower the attendees to feel more confident in their ability to influence and have impact in their day-to-day lives in engineering spaces. It provides the opportunity for self-discovery through shared conversations. We will move beyond awareness of how we show up in the world - at work and in our personal lives - to take actionable steps to ‘notice, name and nurture’ our patterns, to best lead our self and others.

By the end of this session, you will:

  • Understand your Patterns of Thinking: Gain insights into how your current patterns and mindsets might be holding you back—not just personally, but for your teams and organisations too.
  • Identify and Challenge Defaults: Notice and name those default patterns that limit influence and challenge them to discover and nurture more enabling patterns.
  • Commit to Action: Create a clear ‘from – to’ action that will elevate your influence and impact in both your professional and personal lives.
  • Feel more Confident: Leave feeling empowered and confident, ready to show up as your best self and make a more meaningful impact.
