Creating Cultures that Engage and Retain Millennials and Generation Z

Their work habits are different. Their values are different. They care about work life balance and being part of an organisation with values and principles that are important to them. They will soon make up a majority of the workforce – they are the Millennial and Z generation.

But there is more to this than meets the eye and we could be missing opportunities by stereotyping this generation, as well as the next. Dale Carnegie conducted a study to uncover what drives engagement among millennials and to identify what is similar and dissimilar about this generation and generation Z so that leaders can better develop an environment that engages and retains the new generations of today’s workforce.

Join us for this interactive workshop as we present our research and practical applications for engaging your younger employees:

• Why employee engagement matters and the state of engagement today
• What’s uniquely important to Millennials and Gen Z
• The difference between fact and fiction and how stereotyping can lead us awry
• What you can do to better engage the Millennial and Generation Z
• How to gain high productivity out of all the generations, Baby Boomers, Gen X, Millennials and Gen Z

Note: this Workshop is designed for those aged over 35.

Women in Public Works Engineering Masterclass Breakfast

Senior leader with over 30 years’ experience in sales management, particularly in media and online advertising platforms.

My career has been defined by my ability to formulate and drive clear, structured project strategies, secure new business, train sales teams and deliver results. Within the organisations I have represented, this has translated into the production of growth, robust client relationships, stakeholder engagement and positive revenue results.

I am experienced in recruitment, training and mentoring of staff to consistently set goals, achieve targets, and build positive and motivated teams that strive for excellence.

I am highly skilled in change management, including the development and implementation of customer-centric organisational structures.   More recently I have adapted my skillset to work in a not-for-profit organisation where advocacy and stakeholder engagement are the key strengths I demonstrate to achieve positive outcomes for the business community.

I am a passionate Scot by birth, and as a proud Australian citizen, I'm fondly referred to as a "Scozzie".
